Jimmy Raye, Vintage Fashion Collector Extraordinaire

Jimmy Raye is a private collector of vintage fashion and accessories including shoes, hats, jewelry, clothes and purses. The first floor of Raye’s stately home is filled to the brim with vintage, vintage, vintage. Some of the treasures are: an aluminum bowler hat and a pair of Ferragamo heels from the 1930s, a Gibson Girl blouse from the 1890s, a closet full of Lilly Dache millinery and a pleated dress by Ian & Marcel.

1930s Hollywood Luxury

Today we added 8 dresses into the 1930s exhibits from the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. One of my favorites is the Jeanne Lanvin embellished silk evening gown. The opulence of the 30s with the flowing silky dresses is one of my favorite eras.

1920's Sheer Elegance

Typically, when we think of 1920s fashion we think of flapper dresses with beading and elaborate details. These dresses were usually shapeless with a lot of freedom to dance into the night.


Today we added 13 dresses into the 1920s exhibits from the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. One of these dresses was made in the late 20s and is a sexy sheer long gown. Not your typical 1920s dress.
